Barbershopping...it's not just a hobby...it's a mania!

I have been singing all of my life.  Not only have I directed my church choir for 9 years, but I have been a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society since 1991.

I currently sing Lead in a very entertaining quartet.  I've been singing with Sentimental Journey (click on link for Quartet Website) for over 15 years.  Here's is one of our more recent posed photos:

Bill, HJ, (me) and Rocky have a great time entertaining audiences.

We do a lot of comedy songs and Bill is often the brunt of our comedy (all in fun, I assure you).

Click on the link below to hear Sentimental Journey singing "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" from the Texas Millionaires Christmas CD.  Since this is a copyrighted CD, the track is incomplete...sorry.

The chorus in which all of the above individuals sing is called The Texas Millionaires (click on link to go to that website).

This is a 50 man chorus that has recently placed in the top 20 at the International Conventions in 2005 and 2008. That's out of nearly 900 choruses world wide...not bad for our first couple times out. We are looking forward to our next project of creating our second CD and releasing it on September 13, 2009.

Click on the link below to hear one of the songs off of our Christmas album, called "Mary Had a Baby
".  As before, since this is a copyrighted CD, the track is incomplete...sorry.

If you're interested in coming to a rehearsal, just call me and I'll give you more details or follow the link to the Texas Millionaires Web page for directions.
